In accordance with the NFPA 2001 standard on Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing Systems, an "enclosure protected by clean agent shall be thoroughly inspected." Through the use of door fan technology, inspection has replaced discharge testing as the preferred method of assessing the ability of an enclosure to maintain integrity during a discharge in a fire condition. With Retrotec's latest equipment, the Q5E series fan and associated software, our trained technicians can confidently measure the leakage of an enclosure and provide an accurate retention time based on that leakage. Our testers are trained to handle leakage split measurements and multi-fan testing (level 3 certification from the manufacturer). In addition to conducting these inspections for our own projects, we are happy to provide our services to the industry as needed.
